We’ve entered the last full week of October and somehow I’ve not yet completely failed at Blogtober. (Ok so there was that one day where my post was so late it was technically the next day, but in my defence, I hadn’t been to sleep yet…)
So anyway, it’s the final stretch, and my ability to do this is encouraging me to believe that I can do NaNoWriMo next month – though the amount of words per day is considerably more. I’m working on the plot at the moment and I’m excited but also nervous, the countdown has begun after all.
As it’s getting close to the end of the month, and I’ve been blogging for a while now, I thought I’d give you guys a taste of a day in the life of Lilly. So without further ado, let’s go!
My boyfriend woke up at ridiculous o’ clock this morning, which meant I too woke up at ridiculous o’ clock this morning. I had about 2 and a half hours before my alarm. I laid there thinking of all the things I could do with my extra time: I could do a Sworkit Workout, I could have a bath instead of a shower, I could do some cooking or cleaning, I could do something special with my hair…
Ok so, I actually just snoozed and stared at the ceiling until I only had 15 minutes to get ready for work. But having the whole bed to myself was nice! (Also my duvet is absolutely amazing, it’s like sleeping among clouds).
Despite the rushed morning I was at work about 20 minutes early, and had a really productive day. I made some honey flapjacks with lemon icing last night for this week’s breakfast. It was a bit crumbly but not as sweet or sticky as flapjacks with added sugar and syrup, so overall I’d say they’re a success. This morning was really busy but as I said, I got lots done which basically meant that I was in a very good mood all day, bonus! Had pitta bread and houmous for lunch and managed to burn my finger getting the pitta out of the toaster?! The afternoon picked up though and traffic was great on the way home!
Sadly the next step of my day was to do copious amounts of cleaning in preparation for a house inspection, but the place looks lovely and shiny now which brightens my mood a lot.
After all the cleaning, I had a perfect bubble bath with the Lush Pumpkin Bath Bomb while watching some Gavin and Stacey, then I stuck Gilmore Girls on…I’d like to say a TV binge isn’t a regular thing but it really is.
Finally I made dinner. Tonight’s menu consisted of lasagne, which was pretty good despite setting the upstairs fire alarm off somehow. I got some cardio in trying to jump up and turn it off, so I guess not all is lost..my boyfriend got home about 5 mins after the struggle too!
Now I’m sat watching TV again while I write this post – so yep, I think we have established that my day to day life isn’t that interesting.
How was everyone else’s day?
